What gets me is when they act like the intent absolves them of pretty much all responsibility.
Not the result.
Not the fact they didn’t follow up after taking their best guess in the moment.

I'm sure your wife is feeling pretty low right now. You're just going to have to man up and get over it. Get some more fish and she will never touch your aquarium again. It was a well intentioned move that resulted in an accident.
