Tough shite. Should have thought about that long ago.

How could anyone not want to be a part of their children’s lives?

I think he's really looking for a way to not have to pay child support but from what I told him, I don't think there's really any way around that. He made a dumb mistake not wearing protection with a girl who is basically a frick buddy and now he's on the hook for the next 18 years. Advice/suggestions?

Here’s an idea.

They had sex. They weren’t responsible. They got pregnant and she wants to keep them.

Bear with me here. How about being there for his kids? I know that’s crazy but it’s part of life if you father a child or two. How about working with the mom and figuring out how to be a present father?

Crazy idea, I know but it could work.

The child graduated LSU last year, was a golden girl, and is headed to med school. I regret not fighting for parental rights.

WTF. If this is true I hope the girl never finds out. That would absolutely tear her up.

I’m sure the young man is scared.
However if he steps up and becomes a father to the kids he’ll find happiness he never realized existed.

Your son should have

A. Worn a condom

B. Not cum in the girl

C. If he knows he didn't do any of the prior 2, he should have went to Walmart to buy a plan B.

Since he didn't do those things. He is now a father. Congrats to him. Now it's his part to step up and be a Dad. I'm not saying he needs to marry the girl. But he's going to have to be a co-parent with her for the rest of his life. Those kids are going to need him. Being a deadbeat is not an option.

Stay with her. Don’t propose. Go into Navt. Figure it out from there.

There really needs to be sort sort of flag for any thread that’s bumped after a year

One reason I would support a mandatory paternity test before a man signs a birth certificate.

It’s also astonishing how many people are responding to the OP not realizing how old the thread is
