Any dumbass parent that has ‘chaperones’ for a house party with HS kids is both an idiot and asking for major trouble. Chaperone probably had some drinks.
Maybe they weren’t actual chaperones, but another kids parents?
It’s a fricking terrible idea to have a ‘chaperoned’ private party. This is coming from a guy has done stupid shite at those types of parties and had tons of friends do even dumber stuff.

I’d probably give him a piece of my mind and leave it at that. Not much else you can do. Not worth picking up assault charges over. Calling the police is pointless because it’s not a crime.

I’d like to know why a 45 yo man wants anything to do with a 18 year old that is UNATTRACTIVE?
I could be wrong but I bet this guy has done this before with younger girls. If this was a teenager party, how’d he know she was of age? He ID her?

Why was he there chaperoning? Was this a party being thrown by high school kids?
If he was chaperoning a party full of high schoolers, then I’d assume he’s the father of a different kid who was at the party….otherwise its even more creepy that he was there in the first place.
Option 1 - If the creepy guy has a high school kid of his own, your neighbor can report the incident to the school. A parent being at a party full of high school kids having inappropriate contact with a student there is probably grounds to have that parent banned from any school sponsored events.
Option 2 - spread the word among other parents that the guy was being a creep at a party full of teenagers. Make him a social pariah.
Option 3 - if alcohol was involved, your neighbor could call the cops and report him for contributing to the delinquency of minors. Probably would need a few party attendees to be willing to talk to the cops and back him up on that statement though for anything to happen.
Option 4 - kick his arse and just deal with the assault charge. Hopefully the DA and judge are girl dads too and understand where the dad was coming from.
