The fact that any of you pick Trump before or right now even still is shocking...almost down right embarrassing. She probably should dump you low key for you still picking Trump when he's done nothing but make America look like an a$$ hat or the world.

I definitely couldn't date/marry a pussy hat wearing, hardcore progressive. We wouldn't like each other anyway so it wouldn't be an issue.
The wife and I aren't exactly the same on politics but we are pretty close and have similar values. That certainly makes things easier imo. Neither of us are really in to politics that much anyway. We don't even really watch the news.

This isn’t about Trump. This is about the ultimatum. If she’ll do it over something as petty as politics, she’ll do it again over increasingly petty and insignificant things. She does this because she doesn’t respect OP or their relationship. You never gamble what you’re not willing to live without. She’s willing to risk the relationship because she is ready to live without it. Caving to this kind of emotional blackmail is how you end up in the kind of relationship where you have to go shopping with her at Hobby Lobby during your team’s playoff game, be told you can’t hang out with one of your friends, and generally never be allowed to make a decision again. This is a power move by the woman, and once she has power, she won’t respect her SO. She will use him, abuse him, and probably cheat on him.
Anyone who after 3 years of a relationship is willing to issue an ultimatum over something as petty as politics is not someone who is committed to the success of that relationship.

mmmmbeer is one of our most serious cases of TDS on this forum. You mention Trump in any way and he loses all ability to make a rational argument and just spews the same emotionally unstable verbal diarrhea all over the thread.
