Go check out M.S. Rau. Basically a museum/high end art gallery that you can spend a few hundred thousand to buy something you like.

As a general rule, stay TF away from New Orleans, La. There are plenty of other places that aren't violent shitholes to take your lady.

You have to walk bourbon if it's your first time. Royal a block over had some neat shops to check out.
Mid city is OK. But uptown has more to do and see.
I usually take people for a poboy, streetcar ride, then nice dinner then Frenchman street.
Had family in town the other day. Did parkway and Peche.
