My girl has never been to New Orleans and wants to go. Should I take her?

What are you baws’ opinions? Should I take her to Bourbon and the touristy areas, or mid city and the more low key spots?

If she's down to roll with you to Larry Flint's place at 3:00am in the morning and her eyes light up when you hand her a hundred stack of dollar bills to play with inside the club, she's dateable.
If she convinces the manager of the club to let her have some stage time just for shiggles, then she's a keeper.
Keep it pimpin', pimpin'.

I would split time between uptown and downtown. Take her to brunch at commander’s palace and shopping on magazine st and royal st

Yes, do the FQ in the day or Uptown, Mid City or the Marigny at night.

Can handle Bourbon/the Quarter during the day. For evening drinks, Hot Tin in the Pontchartrain Hotel is a good time with a great rooftop view of the city but without the funk or dangers of the Quarter at night.

Have you studied kung fu?

It was a little bit frightening.
Those cats were fast as lightning.

Interesting how references now are always to the song - never David Carradine

I’m not sure you can handle New Orleans without a panic attack

______________
If you have never been to New Orleans you need to at least go to the French Quarter to see it. If you go at out there at night & it is just you & her you need to be careful. Things can go awry really fast if you don't watch out. For many reasons.

This 5th generation New Orleanian never goes there anymore, so no.

Not if you want her to live.

Take her to find a job.

If you care for her, you won’t take her within 250 miles of that $hit hole.

How old are you baw? My wife and I recently started going to New Orleans more for getaways. We in our 40’s. We have a lot of fun in the daytime and into the early night then call it a night. Now I used to go in my younger days and party all night. I never thought I’d enjoy it like I do now. I thought it was just that late night wild party. But that’s in the past for me. Generally speaking stay off bourbon, Frenchman street is awesome.
