Tell him but DO NOT expect an outcome. Don’t get mad if he doesn’t believe you or if he gets mad at you. Tell him and walk away. Don’t get sucked into any more drama. All you can do is give him the facts, you can’t make him act a certain way after.

Depends on how close you are to the friend. If you're close as brothers/childhood friends, he may see it as a favor. If not, stay away and let him live/deal with it.
