This is infuriating. I finally broke down and got IG last year and it’s even worse than FB. The first post I see is someone I know. And then I’ll scroll past like 15-20 things of ads, random people I’m not friends with, or promo videos for pages I don’t follow before I see a second person I’m actually friends with. It’s total nonsense.

Outside of the occasional Facebook Marketplace browsing, I don't use it. Its full of chronically online boomers, single moms, and unemployed people. People I have nothing in common with.

I have to post on Facebook and IG for work purposes.
A lot of my Facebook friends/followers are haters who think I should be covering their school more.
I get a lot better reaction to content from kids on IG than the adults on FB.

If you go to settings—>content preferences—->snooze suggested posts in feed it’ll clear that up but for some infuriating reason you have to refresh it every 30 days.

I’m getting posts of local markets and groups in far away cities where I have one friend who is a member.
So if I’ve got one dude who is a member of Salt Lake City antiques, I’m getting their content. I ignore it and request to no longer get it, but it happens frequently

That would be great. But I don’t have that option in my settings under content preferences.

But I don’t even mean that. I just mean it’s constantly showing me ads and people I’m not even friends with on FB/IG. It sucks. And I usually just get annoyed and get off it, which is a good thing anyway I suppose.
