I don't appreciate their whole you must be quiet while working out.

But if that's what you want then I guess I can't hate on it. They are too uptight for my liking. They also treated my handicap sister very poorly (not for noise) just judging.

Surely there are other upscale gyms, but I do believe planet fitness is probably most affordable.

Of course it smells good. No one works out there for real.

I've never had a bad experience. The tootsie rolls did throw me off at first, but I don't eat that stuff anyways. To each their own.

Just realized they spell judgment "judgement" which would be the British version. Thought this was America?

Wife refuses to go anywhere else.. Probably believes the PF commercials.

I've only heard the alarm there once (lafayette) , and that was because some guy was practicing martial arts in the middle of the room and using the cable machines to do wierd van damme stretches.

It's a business.. They're not pretending to have a goal of getting all of their members in shape. They keep it clean.. They keep it quiet. There's so many people there you can't possibly feel like anyone is looking at you. People who take it seriously can get a good workout.. People who go there and read Facebook on bikes or talk on the phone while doing elliptical...... Well.. They keep the tootsie roll jar full.
