While none of these medical issues by themselves are disabling, together they just attack me from all angles. My body at 36 has already betrayed me.
But no it gets worse. 2 1/2 years ago my Asthma acted up on a flight. I thought for about 10 minutes that I was going to die or have to ask if there was a doctor on board. I've never been so happy to get off a flight in my life. In hindsight I like having the air vent on a plane blowing right in my face which my main doctor thinks caused my throat to dry out. That then caused me to get anxious which then activated my Asthma. All my doctor did was tell me to take a 50mg Prednisone tablet and a 0.25mg Xanax tablet before flying.

I would seek out another doctor/second opinion and I would also get in touch with a counselor/therapist that specifically deals with folks who have chronic illnesses.

I know that it feels like a lot but you have options. Don't give up just yet.

Do you see a therapist? Because I wouldn't recommend TD as your only outlet. Go see a therapist, someone who is paid to listen to you but also trained in how to help and talk about your issues.

I've technically overweight but not obese. 5'7" 170. I have started working out regularly in the last few months with some moderate success, not as much as I would life.

Damn you are ray of fricking sunshine! Stop the pity party. Life is what you make of it. So reevaluate your life, and your conditions, and figure how you can get the best of it.

I don't feel like there's any joy in my life anymore. That's there's nothing to look forward to. I have failed in life. I have failed physically, mentally and spiritually. I'm not married, I don't have any kids, I live by myself. The world doesn't need me. Very people would cry if I died.

I know it's a lot easier said than done but you have to rid yourself of this mindset. Never underestimate how you can impact someone's life and not even know it. The will to live and the strength to fight can come in the darkness when you feel hope is lost.

Please try to find a church. They will accept you and help you. I am not a religious person and cannot give advice but call the closest one to you, set up a meeting with the pastor, preacher, father and tell that person you want help.

I understand what you're trying to say but how am I supposed to feel? The next time I get on an airplane I could end up dying and no stupid doctor seems to care. They all think its mental, it's not mental. Yet if you take travel away from me I'm completely dead inside anyway. Travel is the one thing that has brought me joy in the last 5 years or so and now I'm losing it.

1. Go buy an 8 ball of cocaine.
2. Get a hooker (maybe 2)

That right there will make you want to live.

Outside of that pick your pussy lips up off the floor, we all have adversity to overcome. Just bury that shite deep down inside and do some heavy drinking and/ or drug use like a real man.

Your life has value as does all life. These challenges will hone you to do great things. Do not despair. You have a purpose and you will find it. Start with small victories and build your self worth....it is there just buried.

To those of you on this board mocking this post I weep for you. These challenges are real and invisible to the people around.

Find a support team and know that you have value and worth to this world.

Blessings for brighter days.

You said your Mom has arthritis, and some of the other stuff you're going through is genetic. Perhaps some people in your family would at least have an idea of what you're going through? Maybe reach out to them?

Hey, man. I know it might not help, but minus the asthma, I'm not too different. I'm 35 with psoriatic arthritis, GI issues, and heart issues. Some days I hurt. Other days I hurt a lot more. It's not the best, but it's the cards I was dealt, and you better be damn sure I'm going all in with that hand because that's all I've got. It used to really bother me, but I've gotten over it.

Have you ever talked to a mental health professional?
