That's correct. However, you responded knowing that Babytac claims to have a net-worth of 2 million and brags about making 500k. He's in no position to self insure his liability AND his assets.
I have a lot of clients with net worths north of 25-50 mil, and they are the biggest customers in my book. They understand the concept of risk transfer. They may self insure some things or have extremely high deductible (10% on a 5 mill house), but they aren't self insuring for liability.
Btw, the post your replied to was in response to this:

You don’t need home insurance for something that has a 1% chance of happening. You need a f’ing calculator and a backbone dumb arse. You prob didn’t pay cash for your home and bought something you can’t afford tho so are owned by the mortgage company and not allowed to make your own decisions.

Sure but could be looked into.
And some of his friends may have gone that route, so they are not as lacking as he is thinking.

State Farm is legalized extortion
They were built on the friendly model of your neighborhood agent that you could just walk in the door and talk to. And they would charge you a shite ton for that.
Those days are gone

Not sure how that's changed?

Found the insurance agent….

And that’s with full coverage on all of them
1. What are your liability limits (mandatory minimum or higher)?
2) What is your deductible on your comprehensive/collision coverage?
3) Do you have UM/UIM coverage?
4) How many miles.per year do you report for your vehicles?
Also, how long have you been with State Farm and how old are the other drivers in your household?
A lot of reasons why your premium would be lower than the OP and others.

Not gone for me. I see my agent nearly every week at the Mexican place and on occasion, he'll pick up my tab. He was my middle kid's softball coach when she was 5, she's 24 now and his wife was my son's 3K teacher, he's 19 now. Even if I could save a few $ a month, it's not worth it to me.
I'm $575 a month for 3 cars and a $1M umbrella. My kid did total a 4 runner and a new BMW X5 M60 a year and change ago.

shite I just searched my email and saw it. Had heard about this a couple of weeks ago from a friend. I got $94 which isn’t bad as I was paying like $140 last year.

Got an email from donotreply@e.sfdividend.com. Is this the actual contact point, or is this a fishing scam?

$109 for me.
Thank you so much oh benevolent masters of state farm for my pittance

I haven’t done an umbrella policy at this point, but I think most require you to max your car insurance coverage first.

Imagine being stupid enough to think not having homeowners insurance is some sort of flex.
My father did insurance defense work for his career for State Ferm actually and he said the smart thing to do if possible is that. So, yeh
Overall home insurance is “not smart” to carry . Tac is an idiot but he is “right” here, insurance is a losing game for the insured. If you have the means not carrying it is the correct move
Almost every single person would come out far ahead in life if they never purchased insurance
