My annual Kentucky highways are the killing fields for skunks.

These stinky frickers are littered all over the roadways here in Kentucky. Wish these bastards would go south to Tennessee or north to Ohio and get run over there.
That’s all.
That’s all.

I keep thinking I’m smelling roadkill skunk down here in LA, but I’m pretty sure it’s just some dank weed getting smoked.
I work roadside a lot, and that stank is everywhere.

Take a whiff on me, that ain't no rose
Roll up yer window and hold your nose
You don't have to look, you don't have to see
Cause you can feel it in your olfactory

Go Big Blue, and take Louisville with you.

Luckily I haven't smelled any yet.

It must be mating season or something. I've seen a bunch here in north AL over the past few weeks. I've counted five dead in roughly the same spot that I pass through about once a week.

Hopefully not on the Country Music Highway. 23 is the only road I use in Kentucky.

A couple of years ago for work I had to travel from Birmingham to Fort Payne.
We started noticing them on the way and we starting counting them.
Got up to 56 before we reached our destination.
It was this time of year too. I don’t know if it’s mating season for them this time of year or if they have a death wish this time of year but, it was crazy.

Maybe those skunks can be used to feel the potholes on the interstates and highways in the bluegrass. Kentucky has horrible highways

Pretty hilarious video of one of my snake-hunting buddies getting sprayed in the face by a skunk…

I hit one 15 years ago that went into my engine compartment and sprayed directly onto the engine. Cooked skunk spray is ungodly. I had to drive home with my head out the window.
I put TWO heavy duty black trash bags over my hand to pull it out and somehow the stank went right through the trash bags. For several weeks the car was unusable. So bad it would make your eyes water.
Our rural arkansas roads are littered with them. I don't mind the stink as long as it was someone else that hit them and not me

Nah, he’s a really good kid - just a little wild at times.
