You won't find a single confirmed record of an anaconda more than 18 feet, as I said. Lots of websites list them being longer, even some you'd think were reputable, but they're based off of hearsay. There's no scientific paper that has measured them longer than 18 feet. There's no photo of anyone measuring one that long in the amazon. There are none that ever turn up that large in surveys of them. None of the thousands in captivity ever get that large, despite the fact that it's easier to grow a large snake in captivity than it is in the wild.

The CONFIRMED record is 18 feet. I maybe should have specified that in my first post.
