Yeah. It missed me.

NWS Huntsville is annoying me. It is like they are seeing how many polygons they can put out.

Acting like Memphis

(To think I almost made it through this entire thread without bitching about them)

(Now that I think about it I've gotta give them credit for this event, I didn't notice the spamming of warnings I normally do from them

I get it. It was a tricky setup with a Northerly element and a Southwesterly element. They just could have gone ahead and issued warnings for a broader area instead of all the oddly-shaped ones.

I didn't see much there. They did have a ground confirmed one near Grant.

Footswitch, check in when you can. I forget exactly where you are out there. I had to get to bed after it settled down my way, but I see it has livened up again. I know sometimes you're over in the New Market area, too.

Reports vary on the number of dead in Mississippi. Seeing as many as 21.

Just awful. Praying for those impacted.

Below is some footage from Rolling Fork, MS that is worth watching. Looks like at least an EF-4 to me. 18 wheelers picked up and thrown around. Brick houses flattened. Telephone polls and big trees snapped into like match sticks. A random school bus from who knows where lying on its side in someone's yard. An 18 wheeler lying on top of someone's house.

Yeah, looks consistent with E-4 type damage there in the Rolling Fork area. It’ll be interesting (and sad at the same time) to see what daylight reveals.

Took this screenshot from one of the Live Storms Media chaser videos of the tornado when it was near Rolling Fork, MS. Close range shot of the massive wedge tornado.

From the Mississippi EMA:

Morning Update as of 6:20am:
We can confirm 23 dead, dozens injured, 4 missing due to last night's tornadoes. We have numerous local and state search and rescue teams that continue to work this morning. A number of assets are on the ground to assist those that have been impacted

How big of a town is Rolling Fork? And how does a town start over? Or does it?

Dear Lord.

Not big. A couple of thousand people. Old farming town with a railroad. That’s about it. It’s n the Mississippi Delta.

Just tag the word “green” onto everything, rake in cash from dumbass liberals and woke corporations, rebuild with cash, go buy new f-450 to replace old one.

Thanks Legend we’re okay. I’m in Meridianville this week and the wife is in New Market. Just hard rain and strong winds. My brother lives in downtown Fayetteville and confirmed damage around there.
I was following you and Brad Travis. He nailed the Fayetteville rotation as soon as it tightened up outside of Ardmore.
Hat’s off to y’all. These threads are the most valuable parts of this board to me and several others.
God bless you and keep up the good work.
