The OP is one of those people who believe both nothing and everything they read on the internet.

According to the San Francisco historical society, San Francisco was a sleepy trading post of only 1800 people when James Marshall discovered gold at Sutters Mill in 1848. Over the next 3 years a multicultural migration brought 250,000 people to the area. That's what they say at least.

1800 people is a decent sized town in 1848. More than a trading post. At this same time, Atlanta only had a population of 9500, including slaves, and was considered a metropolis. Important enough for Sherman to burn and essentially win a 4 year war.

Just offering context.

I’m sure it’s been pointed out before now, but this one here seems like a pretty obvious photoshop.

It's not a photoshop. They built a new lower level of the church to match the new street level.

Note how one of the original entrances is now a fire escape exit. And the main entryway on the corner is still there.

What about the existing railroad tracks? Built JUST for this project??

George Vanderbilt built a railroad in the middle of nowhere Appalachia just to get supplies to a house he was building. And he wasn’t lucky enough to just deal with laying it on solid ground.

Looks like he anticipated the coming mud flood I guess.

The conspiracy I want solved is the Hollywood conspiracy that saw a group of shitheads decide that it was a good idea to bring a Night Court reboot to air.

That makes me irrationally angry.

The alternate to railroads and prior to trucks was the bottom dump horse drawn wagon. They were commonly used in early road construction projects.

What does any of this mean? If you could rewrite this as informative instead of suspicious conspiracy theorist it’d be much better.

Dude. That is a brick and mortar church. Nothing special about the construction at all.
