My Grandfather dropped out of school in the 4th grade to go pick cotton in the fields around Colfax, LA. Her assumption that only blacks picked cotton and can be considered hard workers is racist!

She takes exception to someone defining an individual as "hard working" by generalizing two separate groups of people (blacks and single moms) saying they are hard workers and its offensive to them to call anyone else a hard worker
She then further generalizes that all Republicans call single mother and blacks lazy and taking advantage of the system.

I suppose Alfonso could have said "someone who exerts their self to a high degree, using both physical, mental and emotional energy, to the pursuit of some financial, professional or vocational aim," but I'm sure MHP would think the word "exert" is racist.
