Also military, so I've slept in my fair share of odd places. As far as outside of the military (even though it's connected to the military), on my night layover in Baltimore returning from Iraq, I got woken up because I was sleeping in the hotel elevator because I couldn't find my room.

Under a torpedo in a nuclear powered submarine

also in the "Aux Tank" at the bottom of the ship. Picture a 20L x 20W x 10H room filled to the brim with #10 cans of food. When you are on mess duty, you have to "dive the aux tank" for a vegetable or fruit can. I'd sleep on top of the cans for hours before coming back up

In my Ford Ranger in the middle Sturgis, South Dakota during the big motorcycle rally.

Also, the floor of a farmhouse in the back back country of Nicaragua.

As a kid in the 80s I slept one night in the torpedo room on top of a torpedo on the USS John Marshall. It was during a dependent cruise.

It looked something like this.

Electrical closet in a paper mill.

I was working graveyard shift and didn't really have anything to do and I was tired as hell. So I found a warm spot in an electrical cabinet and crawled in there and took a nap. Good thing I don't flop around in my sleep very much.

Also in a logging truck at a test well in Ponca City, OK.

That's the Ritz Carlton compared to what we had on a sub. It was nothin more than a bunch of racks laid side to side with no barrier at all except the curtain you see in the passageway.

Most of these responses are from people basically passing out drunk. This is what I what though it would be, baws passing our from being dead tired working.

In the oil field I've seen a dude fall asleep while welding. I've seen a guy fall asleep while grinding with a 9" grinder. Seen many people fall asleep standing up, I was one, woke up quick when I hit the ground.

I used to sleep in my mwd trailer right next to the pumps.
didn't care, slept

In a bed of rocks. Long story short, I went on a camping trip with some family members. It was my mom and a few of her sisters and all of their kids. For some reason someone thought it was a good idea to drive up to Wyoming so for about 5 days in a row it was drive all day, stop at a camp ground, sleep, wake up, back on the road again. One night, I think it was in colorado, we stopped, everyone was tired, the tents went up..

I had gone clean up and when I came back to the camp site, I just got in a tent then all of a sudden realized the ground was uneven as frick and that when I moved, the ground moved with me. That one trip is why I hate camping.
