You Laffy people have such a weird hard on for Judice Inn. I don't get it.

But happy to stay out so you can get your below average burger a few minutes faster...

"below average burger", everything is subjective but that is totally ridiculous. Typical 'out of towner', go to 5 guys next time you can get fries and and below average burger in a few minutes.

Cane’s

Walk-On’s-the burgers are decent, everything else is just frozen, preprepared crap

Sammy’s-can be decent but also very hit or miss
The fried cheese is though. Ranks right up there with The Caterie

Five Guys isn't good either, in my opinion. I'd put Judice Inn ever so slightly above Five Guys.

Sorry I hurt your feelings by thinking your local cuisine isn't good.

Several of mine have already been listed:

Walk-ons
Prejeans
Middendorfs
Dragos
Mike Anderson

I won't say that one cannot get something decent at any of these places but everything I've ever gotten at them was very mediocre. I went back to a couple of them more than once just to give them the benefit of doubt, assuming that I may have been on an "off day" on an earlier visit.

Ralph and Kacoos has been so bad for so long, it's hard to believe that anyone rates them highly in the first place.

you never went there!

In NO- I would agree with Mother's

In BR-I would agree with Superior food wise. But their margaritas and atmosphere make up for it.

In Biloxi-I would agree with Mary Mahoney's

There is no carpet in LaFonda, nor has there ever been in the 30 years I've been going there.

I'm asking an honest question. Do most of you think Mothers is horrible?
I've only went once and that was 10 years ago because I'm not waiting in a cattle line with tourist, but I have heard some say some good about it.

When we are talking low end tourist food that isn't frozen crap food is it really bad?

It isn't bad. It's just a cool thing to say that it sucks because it is a tourist trap. I mean the main thing that it is known for are roast beef poboys. It's just meat, gravy, and french bread. Maybe that's its only sin. It's a simple thing that is over hyped because it is iconic.

I kind of thought that would be a good candidate. It seems like a Galatoires kind of place.
Maybe a good lunch or brunch if you are getting away from the casino crowd, but def. an over priced dinner place.
Neat atmosphere and history, but nothing special for food.

Copeland's anywhere in Louisiana. It's almost always disappointing.

But seriously though, can we talk about La Carreta?

I've been hearing some negativity surrounding the Hammond location and I just don't understand it. I have been going there at least once a month since the placed first opened like 15 years ago and have NEVER had a bad experience. Food is good, atmosphere is second to none, service is unbelievably fast even when the place is packed out.

Galatoires

There are so many places that have better food than Galatoires in New Orleans, and for the most part don't cost as much.

Every time I've been it's been a fun atmosphere and the oysters are very good but everything else I've felt was overrated

This. You are paying to be seen on the first floor. Food is good, not great.

It's Michellan Star rated.
Had breakfast there. It was ok. I wasn't blow away for a place that has 2 Michellan Stars.
