I'd say pediatricians. 1mm+ seems like an awful lot for treating kids.

Pediatricians don't make $1M+. Our pediatrician is married to a radiologist.

I dare say there isn’t a single pediatrician in the country anywhere near $1MM unless they own a big group and have 10 docs working for them, which is rare these days. Most aren’t even near $500k. It is the lowest paid MD subspecialty.

And here is the problem. They should be paid on either a T&M basis or lump sum basis by the party that hires them. They should be compensated like most other professional service providers not like the wait staff at a restaurant.
Under the current system there is no incentive for you to get professional service instead their only incentive is to ensure the deal gets closed.
