Ballplay is more of an area name.
Ballplay Swamp is a super trashy area between Hokes Bluff, Centre, and Piedmont.
It got its name because native tribes used to gather there to play a game that was kind of a savage version of tether ball.

I like French Lick Indiana.

There's a location in north Florida that goes by the charming name, "Sodom Swamp". I figure there has to be an interesting story behind the name. I'm not sure if there is a town there, or just some fish camps maybe.

You can drive from Bird N Hand to Intercourse and then after going through Gap you end up in Paradise. Takes about 20 minutes (seriously, look at a map).
