Ninja Gaiden is cool and all, but come on now.

We've gone this far into the thread and nobody has said this one. And IMO, tGOAT video game intro:

FFVII is one of the greatest games ever. Top to bottom.
A few years before that, a most underrated a action RPG on the Sega Genesis was Sword of Vermillion.
This intro came to mind immediately. The graphics sounds and music were revolutionary in in 1991.

Are people still into video games? I've never been a big fan but it seems I don't see nearly as much advertising for them as in the past.

In 2023, the U.S. video game industry supported over 350,000 jobs and contributed nearly $66 billion to the U.S. GDP.
In 2023, the global video game industry was valued at $184 billion.

It’s way up there. Holds up too. My 12, 7 year olds likes a ninja gaiden, mega man and some of those classic series as much as the newer games. The controls were so tight and those games were unforgiving. Breathing them felt like a real accomplishment especially ninja gaiden where you had to do in one sitting.

Mega Man 2. This is the way.
