That's the brilliant nature of it. People are gun shy to go too hard on it because nobody knows what the frick they do

I'm a consultant and I don't even know what I do half the time

As an attorney, I vote attorneys. And then number two is, "all clients," regardless of career. So you see why number one is number one.
We say this, but 0.0% chance any reasonable attorney wants prolonged litigation against an unrepresented party or to deal with an unrepresented party on the other side of the deal

Engineers- My vote. Always assumes they’re the smartest person in the room. Happy to shite on non certified PE’s ideas because they know so much more than you. Yet they always seem to frick up the design, over estimate their knowledge, and cost millions to correct their hubris.
sorry you couldn't pass Statics baw.

Hard to disagree with engineers, but chemists work harder to outdo the engineer. And they like to call each other Doctor.
Either way, I respect their fields because they are innovators, but their personality traits make them both insufferable. They refuse to use a common language and are constantly trying to come up with a better idea than their peers. The cutthroat, anti-social bunch can kick rocks, but the few who have actual social skills and stray from the pack are the only one's I am drawn to speak with.

There was a time when the OT thought you should only go to college for engineering
Probably around the time a petroleum engineering degree was worth something

Engineers... Like Vegans, Crossfiters and Italians, they always find a way to interject what they are in every conversation.
When they lose an argument, instead of playing the race card they play "my curriculum is the most difficult and you wouldn't make it" card.

HR - they're not lawyers and instead of leaning on L&E attorneys to simplify and protect their organizations, they waste countless hours on seminars and continuing education to add bureaucracy to their organizations and create complexity so that people don't notice that they're completely useless
HR people getting way too involved in the hiring process for technical teams. These people are truly fricking clueless at the Enterprise level.

As a lawyer, I'd have to say lawyers.

I don’t know what’s worse within the profession, the stuffed in locker types that think they’re billy badass all of a sudden or the true believers.

You are displaying the typical (and socially awkward) noblesse oblige and hubris of Engineers
There are plenty of folks out there who could/can be an Engineer from a passing the curriculum standpoint but who chose to not be one. Me included and I'm thankful for my great decision.
It's my opinion that most successful business people in the world think of Engineers as simple tradesmen.
Most engineers think of themselves in a higher regard.
Hence the rub, further exacerbated by a general lack of personality in engineers.
My PCP I have a wonderful personal relationship with, the Engineers I have had to deal with, I don't want to see after hours.
Work related, I've made my Architects or Contractors deal with Engineers rather than do so myself.
I generally enjoy the company of attorneys, physicians, and architects off the clock. Not engineers.
Could there be exceptions? Sure, but not many.

As an engineer in an entire town of engineers. That does not happen here.... Everyone just assumes

I'm in Caddo(inner city Shreveport) and teaching here is fricking crazy. Can't even get subs to come in because its so crazy. I really don't get to do a lot of teaching. It's mostly just a glorified babysitting job, dealing with discipline issues, keeping them occupied and making sure they don't kill each other.
