I don’t listen to new country but I still know who he is. He’s pretty unavoidable if you’re under 40 or so.

Blows my mind man. And I have land and a weekend house type deal 20 mins from the stadium and was floored to find out I could have rented that out for thousands if I wanted to. The whole thing just has me bewildered.

Same, I've heard of him, mostly bc of the N word issue but could not name one of his songs.
That goes for all the bro country singers and their shite songs.
I saw a 16yr old yesterday at Albert Icehouse who is damn good though, he sticks with it he will be a name to watch for. Garrett Talamantes, kid is legit and covers all my favorites.

I first heard of him on a Theo Von podcast during covid.
I'm not familiar with his music, but I'm certainly aware he is one of the largest names in country music.

I listen to country, albeit more Texas/Oklahoma stuff on Spotify and a few Sirius country channels (which I guess don't play this dude). If he's truly some country megastar and the bro country version of T Swift I did not know that.

I would never voluntarily listen to current country music. I had never heard OF him until recently when I was browsing the US iTunes chart and his name was all over it. I assumed from his name he was in the country genre and had zero desire to hear him. The TikTok security guard video was the first time I have knowingly heard him sing.

I know you're being hyperbolic (might wanna look that one up) but there are way worse songs than that one. I'm not a fan of it particularly but Dodge paid her a shite ton of money to use it in one of their marketing campaigns...
So somebody likes it. But given the recent trend of incredibly dumb marketing campaigns, who TF knows at this point.
