It has taken the place of cheering for sports teams for many and no one wants to admit that something they believe in may be BS which is why even Covid has become a one side or the other situation. No one allows for a grey area anymore.

Pretty dumb when vaccine significant side effects are 1 in 100000

Your risk benefit analysis sucks

I have not taken a vaccine since age 10 or so.

Even when in asia for extended periods.

The only time that decision has been called into question was when I gouged my knee up in front of a restaurant in little india in singapore. Took weeks to heal

At this point, if you see a stat from any side then you can pretty much make the assumption that it is at best a manipulation to fit a narrative or at worst just completely made up.

You know only the carefully selected details which I have put here on purpose.
Age and weight are sufficient details for my analysis.

I hope you remain healthy. I’m not hoping you get sick as some sort of gotcha because I disagree with your risk analysis. Feel free to remain unvaccinated.

Especially when we get into vax/not-vax % of hospitalizations, since its really easy to play with sample sizes and get what you want.

I'm for sticking to the same metrics as before, cases/hospitalizations/deaths. Closest thing we have to apples to apples.

Even sports fanatics are usually willing to be critical of their team when warranted.

If we had even a third of conservatives or liberals calling out their own sides’ bullshite, this would be a much more tolerable country to live in these days

i’m not turning this into an anti-vax vs vax conversation, because i think all of this is silly and we all make personal health decisions and it’s no ones fricking business.

but i am curious as to why Rando? if you want to talk about that is. again, it’s really none of my business

And the OP is based on a number a newscaster stated without any links to a source

Oh I can play this game to.

100% of people who have died from the vaccine are those who have gotten the vaccine.

Who'd of thunk.

get vaccinated and you don’t have to worry about the unvaccinated right?

I keep seeing this. The problem is this: the unvaccinated provide a population for the virus to propagate, and while doing so, mutate. These mutations, over time, could allow the virus to break through the vaccine protection.

This really isn't hard to understand. So, the reason that vaccinated people are concerned with the anti-vaccine crowd is because by not getting the vaccine, we have no hope of stopping it. To the contrary, not only will we not stop it, but the risk is high (and probably likely) that it will eventually render the vaccine useless. I'm sorry if this hurts people's feelings, but it is what it is.

I am starting to see it some from Dems since Biden has been so horrible and Kamala is so unlikeable. Conservatives seem to only do it decades later (W Bush, McCain, Romney) or when there is infighting and they pick a side making things even more fractured just like what is happening now over the porn star showing up to the TPUSA rally

hospitalizations
This is the only number I look at with any regulatory. There are effective vaccines available, if people choose not to get them, then so be it. Time for politicians and the media to move on.

It has nothing to do with the safety of efficacy of a vaccine.

I neither require nor want the assistance.

I got a measles vaccine as a kid... And then promptly got the measles somehow. After that, my mother always asked if I wanted to get vaccinated or sign a waiver.

Since then, on principle, I sign a waiver.

I mat actually get the J&J vaccine at some point, but it has not become a priority.

What % of those deaths are over 70?

Does the answer to those questions change the 99% deaths being unvaccinated number?
