I don't like the science behind the delivery of the other two.

Nothing more. May work. May be genius. I'm simply opposed.

Yea I am there with you which is my hesitation and JJ has had questionable issues behind it and is like only 70% effective IIRC.

keep seeing this. The problem is this: the unvaccinated provide a population for the virus to propagate, and while doing so, mutate. These mutations, over time, could allow the virus to break through the vaccine protection. This really isn't hard to understand. So, the reason that vaccinated people are concerned with the anti-vaccine crowd is because by not getting the vaccine, we have no hope of stopping it. To the contrary, not only will we not stop it, but the risk is high (and probably likely) that it will eventually render the vaccine useless. I'm sorry if this hurts people's feelings, but it is what it is.

The way to stop it was to let it run its course naturally but that wouldn’t have allowed a political power grab.

But it's a rather small number of deaths compared to any point in the pandemic thus far
Because half the country is vaccinated.

It is absolutely false for the media to frame this as chaos for the young and healthy.

This, I certainly agree with. Everything should be opened up to everyone. If you got the vaccine, you're safe. If you don't have the vaccine, whether you do or don't have comorbidities, you're accepting whatever the outcome may be of not having the vaccine. There may be no adverse outcome at all, but you know you're willing to accept whatever it is.

Does the answer to those questions change the 99% deaths being unvaccinated number?

I think it matters when a Dr. says it’s coming for your children & 75% of the 99% unvaccinated deaths are in the 70+ age group

To what end? There hasn't been a disease that infects humans that has reached herd immunity without vaccination programs.

Either way... 99% chance of survival.

I'm rolling the dice if the odds are 100:1. Sorry.

I hear you, and to each his own, I just really don't understand this mindset. If the answer is that's what you want and that's that, then fine lol.

But we act like a 100:1 are really awesome odds. It's really not that great if you're talking about life and death. At this point, it's abundantly obvious the vaccine does increase your risk of survival. I know some still posting here seem to think that's not true, but there's really no helping those folks if they can't concede that.

If the survival rate were like 10 million:1, I'd get the idea of saying I'm good and no need for the vaccine. But 100:1, those aren't the best odds, seems greatly increasing those numbers would be a good idea, given how simple it is to do so.

This is the most annoying part of this entire thing. Why does the government think that they need to protect people who don't want the protection. If someone wants the vaccine, they've had plenty enough time to get it. If they don't get it, they accept the consequences of that action in the event that they contract COVID. Hospitals aren't going to get overrun, let's fricking get on with life.

The odds are much better than that if you are young and healthy.

Especially when it’s proven to work and they are putting themselves at risk for political reasons.

Had this vaccine been developed using traditional methods and not a new, low tested mRNA method, I would be more inclined to take it. These vaccines are for emergency use only and there are still not approved for general use at this time. Let’s see more efficacy on side effects. So far from what I read the risks are low for side effects. There is some level of risk taking it or not taking it. There is always a level of risk even with an MMR vac. I am not sure anyone knows the risk either way because not enough scientific data has been collected and peer reviewed.
