I knew suicide was a big chunk of gun deaths, but didn't realize it was over half.

It really is. Mostly affects 80+ year old women, not exactly producers.

European heat-related deaths primarily impact the elderly, women, and urban populations. People aged 65 and over account for roughly 85% of total heat fatalities, with the risk for those over 80 being substantially higher. Additionally, women experience heat-related mortality rates 55% to 63% higher than men.

That's still 5,500 gun deaths in a part of the world that acts like private gun ownership is some uniquely American disease/afflication.
