It's funny in a he he way, but statistically insignificant either way.

It's also much, much hotter here than there. Imagine the US with no AC

would probably increase gun deaths almost as much as heat deaths.

Heat disproportionately kills the elderly, which is the European govts goal. Eases the pressure on their social systems.
