Every generation through history has had the same concerns and complaints.

Nothing you said is wrong and I agree we are headed off a societal cliff….

HOWEVER…
Keep things in perspective!

You’re probably:

not sleeping on straw in a hut eating bugs…

not worried about a marauding hoard of Visigoths coming over a hill to rape your cattle & steal your wife

not subject to Vlad the Impaler or similar leaders (unless you’re suffering from TDS)

Haven’t had to wake up and wonder if you’d be able to hunt or grow enough so your family won’t starve

Don’t have to piss in a pot & throw it out the window

Don’t have to watch your neighbors and friends all die of yellow fever, bubonic plague, smallpox, Spanish flu, etc…

Aren’t worried about real Nazis coming to steal your business and home then load your family into a cattle car to be “resettled.”

You get the point….

Generations before us all had their struggles and even though we are definitely headed in a BAD direction as a society, you should only worry about what you can control. Your attitude, how you treat people, how you love and guide your family, your faith in God, what YOU contribute to the world.

Spend more time outside, GET OFF THE INTERNET. We all love it, but it can definitely bring you down. It is truly an addiction if not controlled.

I long for the past as well and thank God for being born when I was, but you can’t dwell on it.

Overall, we have it pretty damn good for the most part. I hope our kids can say the same in 50 years, but what we do in our little piece of the world is all we can do to make that happen.

Humans have a need for creativity, accomplishment and success. The Ai era will be catastrophic for most to adjust.

Stop.
For five honest seconds.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let the jaw unclench.
Let the mind stop rehearsing what could go wrong.
And in that tiny, trembling space of stillness…
know — not just believe, know — that the One who spoke the galaxies into being
is still God.
Not “was God in 1000 BC.”
Not “will be God someday when everything is fixed.”
Is God. Right now. On January 1, 2026.
In your city. In your house. In your chest.
The wars He will ultimately silence have not yet been fully silenced — but He has already won the decisive victory.
The exaltation among the nations is still unfolding — but it is certain.

Get off the couch, go outside, go fishing. Stop reading and fuming over it

Understand. Fb is the devil. As is other social media, which I don’t have. This year, make it a goal to stay off of fb headlines which do nothing but cause distress. Enjoy life, family, hobbies and interests, like we did bf social media.

Not everybody over 40. Changes happen. Every generation feels that way

People are just more obsessed with it these days. Get outside.

Eh, all generations think like this. My grandparents(greatest generation) and parents(boomers) generations thought the same about my generation(X). Video games, heavy metal and rap music, and increasing drug use from us slackers we're going to bring down society. "It wasn't like that in the good ol" 50's". This has been going on since the beginning of time.

I do not think so. But if you find a way, please share. I'll be right behind you.

With social media being the town square now, more and more kids in each succeeding generation are being raised on Instagram and TikTok and have no idea of what it’s like to actually live without social media. It’s just a giant cluster frick of problems that only gets worse with each following generation. With each subsequent generation, the narcissism and immaturity skyrockets while IQ plummets.

You should definitely complain about it on a message board and Facebook instead of unplugging yourself and your family.

See a therapist, get away from social and main stream media, stop drinking for while (or forever), find God and a church, grow your band of brothers.

If I could sell what those things would bring you in a pill, I would have more money than Elon Musk.

Be honest, this is a result of your lord and savior, Top G, getting beat like one of his cam girls late for work... by an influencer.
