No, it's not like that at all.
I'm not defending the dad bod. I dont have one, I'm in good shape, but I'm not a workout warrior. Men like you're describing are often closeted homosexuals and spend more time worrying about their own appearance than they do giving attention to a wife or gf.
Women in general dont view the men you're describing the way you think they do. Quit watching TV.

Wrong on so many levels.
I workout 45 min, 3-4 days a week. That's it.
Definitely not gay either.
And women love it and openly say so, especially in bed.

All these young kids working out and cross fit every day better keep that up. Doing so for the rest of your life is a long time. Once you stop, you will get fat.
Heck with that kind of pressure. Keep on wasting time and money at the gym to keep that pride look. I’m off to cut grass and drink some cold ones later.
