Have you seen any of the protest?? What black people? Other than the rebel flag toting monument protector, I haven't noticed many black people involved in this whole ordeal. This is more about white liberals vs southern whites and really more about city hall vs the will of the people.

I'm having a hard time understanding why PGT was so bad. I didn't read much about him in college but the stuff I've read doesn't seem to warrant a removal. He was FOR civil rights and voting rights of freed slaves and he encouraged the surrender to end Civil War.
Was it b/c of designing the battle flag per Wiki? Or just b/c he was a Confederate General?

The statutes are designed to do two things for Mitch.
