Maybe we should look at why she was trying to pound water because she was clearly unwell.

Yep, a symptom.

I'm thinking the way the article is written is a little deceiving. The family is probably using the four bottles in 20 minutes as a way to say how much she was drinking. She had to have drank more than that.

That said, she had more going on.

It sounds like she might’ve had hyponatremia and that much water diluted what little sodium was left inside her. Insatiable thirst is a symptom of it I believe.

After every one of my football games on Friday nights I eat a bag of regular Lays, and drink two bottles of Electrolit electrolyte drink.

Yeah. The salt rush is amazing after you sweat that much. Ladies drink a ton of pickle juice playing during the summer but nothing is better than a burger and salty fries after a match.

Very, very sad, but something seems off. Did she have any underlying health issues? Praying for the family!

If I don't eat Lays I either get some peanuts or sunflower seeds.

This is hard to believe.

Not a cool story but kinda

When I was in boot camp my rack mate fricked up. DI told me to go fill my water bowls aka canteens. So I run to the head and smile in the mirror knowing what was coming.

Instead I got back on line and yelled to the DI. The DI told me to drink. Each one is 32 oz. I probably drank 4, with at times the DI holding it to my face. I ended up throwing up all over the place. I didn’t feel good but I drank an extremely large amount of water in little time. One of the worst experiences I’ll never forget.

Hey, it could have been rabies, too.

Joking, but what you said would make some sense.

That's very sad. Has to be something else going on. That's not much water.

That’s a great question. I’m glad someone asked.

Sad story.

My guess is that she had a baseline hyponatremia (low sodium) due to a combination of a restrictive or trendy diet (advocating drinking way too much water) or she had beer drinkers potamania (running wild on you, brother). Excess booze and hot conditions causing dehydration (common over the 4th of July) and subsequent quick over correction of water deficits without the necessary electrolytes (sodium/potassium/magnesium) was just the straw that broke the camel’s back.

It isn't clickbait if that is what was ruled as her cause of death. There's probably more to it, but right now that isn't clickbait.

“Someone said she drank four bottles of water in 20 minutes,” her brother Devon Miller told WRTV. “I mean, an average water bottle is like 16 ounces, so that was 64 ounces that she drank in a span of 20 minutes. That’s half a gallon. That’s what you’re supposed to drink in a whole day.”

No fricking way. You’re supposed to drink a gallon a day which most body builders do. 4 bottles should be nothing no matter how fast
