Whatever the details, the takeaway is you need to mix electrolytes in and not just drink straight water all the time especially if you are sweating a lot

I feel like 4 bottles in 20 minutes isn't something that crazy especially if she was feeling dehydrated.

Every morning, the very first thing I do is chug 4 bottles of water. Have done so for 10 years at this point.

If it's a weekday, make a protein shake that also has 16-20 oz of water in it.

Around 9:30 I have probably 30oz of black coffee. Then drink water throughout the day. One carbonated drink around 3 or 4.

Water again until midnight or so.

Her iasue was more electrolyte loss from sweating. Less over ingestion of water.

Hydrate BEFORE you need it. Not after. If you have to drink water after an hour outside, and you don't live in the desert, you were dehydrated to begin with.

Yes and no. If you stay under the average recced sodium intake...sure. No one in Louisiana or the south in general has a lack of salt in their diet

Everyone that has ever had a colonoscopy has drank 64 oz’s of water in 20 minutes.

There is more to this story.

This is what I was thinking too. That’s why they give athletes salt tablets before and during competition with the amount of water out and coming in during.

Yeah... That's not water. Which is why it tastes like a mix of gatorade and arse.

There’s no way 4 bottles of water was too much water no matter how fast you drink it.
first of all, nobody knows how much she drank. it may have been 10. furthermore, as small as she is, yeah, 4 could kill her.

Diabetes insipidus can cause electrolyte imbalances because the brain and kidneys are miscommunicating.

If she was severely dehydrated and hyponatremic overcorrecting too fast causes the brain cells to swell due to crazy transmembrane shifts of fluids based on electrolytes and biochemical electrical impulses. In the end, we are all electrical creatures.

Good luck. I'm getting scoped Monday morning bright and early at 8 AM. Gonna be up all night on Sunday peeing out of my arse from the prep solution.

Did you eat any tiny snacks the day before? I'm not sure if I'll be able to fast an entire day before my procedure.

The article is gone so I can’t read. How long was she thirsty? That’s a symptom of uncontrolled diabetes

Because by 9:30 I've been up for theee or four hours and caffeine can actually be properly processed by your body at that point.

As for the one carbonated drink, I like carbonated waters, diet soda, and even the occasional energy drink. Limit the sodas and monsters to one on weekdays.

As for why I over hydrate, it seems to help with old injuries.
