Radio City Music hall has access to facial recognition technology that can instantly identify someone and pull up their entire life story including employment and then cross reference that against a set of rules and then alert someone to a match on one of those rules?
And we’re all just going to gloss over that like it’s no big deal?
Is this a troll attempt and I took the bait? You don't think it's more plausible that she was on a pre-screened list? Even then, it's still fairly incredible that they have dug to that depth and have an image of employees who aren't even slightly associated with the case. Having access to that kind of information isn't cheap.

You serious? Oppression but not this “I’m oppressed but have endless money” shite but real oppression.

I would support that technology at places like Walmart, Home Depot, etc where thieves are costing retailers millions of dollars every month. And that shrinkage is ultimately passed on to paying customers. I'd also support these retailers' ability to share this data so thieves will be identified and stopped when walking in a Target if they've been caught on camera stealing from a Walmart.
They don’t try to stop them openly leaving with stolen goods. You really think they are gonna have that 75 year old accuse them and try to prevent entry later?

That technology is awesome. I have nothing to hide. Plus, the country has become the wild west with all the guns, mass shootings, terrorists and thieves these days. It's unfortunate but it's needed in todays society.

Casinos have been using this technology for at least a decade. This doesn't include law enforcement uses, but it was developed within the private sector.

What’s your point? No one thinks it’s new. What’s new is the application.

Of all the things you listed, the only thing happening at a higher rate than a century ago is thieves and it’s because not everyone is carrying and because criminals have been enabled.

That’s an extreme policy. Pretty creepy, too.

I don’t know what’s more disturbing—that this is happening or that so many here seem to be just fine with it. Damn.

No they have facial recognition software that can instantly identify someone in their database.
She's not a random person that they just magically had access to her life story. It's all online. Google her name + attorney + new jersey.

As I said in the poli board thread, Walmart has been using this tech for a LONG time.
