Gays arguments all the time is we just want to live our life. Yet somehow others are forced to celebrate their perversion and are threatened by the LGBQTSCBCCKSACIABAIBIUA mob at every turn

Those apply to everyone.
The alphabet mafia - not so much.
Acting and though they are the same is a false equivalency.
They are all non standard uniforms that everyone is required to wear.

You feel the same about the military appreciation uniforms, the 4th of July uniforms, Mother's/Father's day, etc?
So to be clear you think having national pride is the same as where you like to stick your pecker?

The problem is making them wear the pride hats to begin with though.
It’s not the MLB making them. It’s the individual team’s decision. The Rangers are the only team that doesn’t do anything for pride month.

Are you seriously trying to equate celebrating Mother’s Day and Father’s Day to being forced to show outward support for something that goes against your beliefs?

They chose to wear the hats.
They violated league rules by writing on the hats.
They were issued a warning for breaking league rules.
Why are we mad about this?

The Bible verse in question is unoffensive. But, if MLB has a universal policy banning writing on caps then this is a big nothing. If they've never enforced the policy before then they could have some issues.
This.
If there is a blanket rule that players are not allowed to write any message whatsoever on their cap then it must be consistently enforced. Otherwise, it creates a scenario where MLB deems some messages that technically break the rule "ok", while other's "not ok". If that happens then the rule itself has no force. I don't know, but if that is what MLB is doing here then the commissioner should have to answer to why it is ok for players to scribe some messages, but not others.
Personally, I think these virtue signaling measure are just dumb business practices. The population of homosexuals in the US is a very small % (despite what the media tries to portray). Even though it's certainly larger in the SF area. The population of homosexuals who are also MLB fans is an even lower %. So what does pride night actually do for the business (MLB and the specific team)? I doubt it significantly increases attendance or fandom across all of MLB simply because with the % of homosexuals already being low there is just not statistically enough of a market to make a big financial impact. At best, it is a virtue signaling endeavor that has no impact on the marketplace. At worst, as here, it creates a controversy issue that is far more likely to result in a LOSS of business than it results in increase in business.
You're a baseball team. Just stick to baseball on the field. That's all the fans really care about anyway. If the Giants, or any team, wants to have a Pride night and make available for sale, or even just give away, rainbow colored hats/shirts to fans, feel free. Fans there can chose to attend or not. Same for "military appreciation night" or any other dedicated acknowledgment theme. But on the field? Just wear the damn team uniform

it's almost inconcievable that you would conflate these.

Depends on who you ask but there are definitely some that didn’t age well

Interesting. because they're objectively immoral or simply conflict with modern cultural preferences?

I'm saying players are required to wear hats/uniforms with non-standard team colors for a wide variety of "causes," and if you believe that the players should be able to choose to not wear one, then that choice should be applicable to all of them.

Depending on interpretation, possibly. My point was more that a verse could have been chosen that more directly condemns homosexuality.
The verse in question speaks to God's love for all humanity, which I don't feel should be viewed as all that controversial from any side. And I say that as a non-believer. If he had trotted out with Lev 18:22 on the other hand . . .
Posted on 6/17/26 at 10:06 am to Wayne Campbell
That’s what I thought.
Posted on 6/17/26 at 10:10 am to NawlinsTiger9
I'll take that as 'modern cultural preferences'.

“Both of them” things you said is what I was going for there
Posted on 6/17/26 at 10:15 am to NawlinsTiger9
well.......if a bible verse is objectively immoral, it should be easy to explain why. right?

From now on the proper response to this BS should be, "As for me and my house, well will serve the Lord our God. I will not offer sacrifices to your god.)
Because that what this garbage is, it's a religion. They want you and everyone to deny Christ and worship their trans god by accepting it and participating in their worship.
Be careful, many will be deceived in the last days, they will be tricked into turning away from God thinking they are doing right. (i.e. going alone to get along)
Expect to be persecuted for your faith in Christ. Expect to be fined, reprimanded or even fired from your job for keeping the faith in Christ our savior. But take heart, they hated Him before they hated you. Blessed are those that suffer because of their love of Christ.
