yeah, ghosting is thinking the dude died until you saw him on the next rotation day on fox sports. His usage of a text (her words)is an absolute bar to the label of ghosting here. Until I see more, I am with Fr33manator and have been through similar crap as he. All I am reading is "my husband did not divorce me like I think he should have" controlling and selfish behavior to begin with, but you add in social media and I am skeptical. Also, frick her dogs. that is no barometer under these facts.

Fr33manator, the better bet and perhaps the better test of the other theories are how he pitches tonight. Thoughts?

Going on the road in the MLB is a different animal than anything us normies here on the OT have ever experienced. I know some guys who played in the MLB and say there are groups of girls literally waiting at the hotel bar the visiting team is staying on the road, and have broken up many MLB marriages. I imagine the temptation would be intense under these circumstances.

My high school teammate at Catholic was a hell of a baller and played in the majors for a long time and won a ring. He was a journeyman utility man and a fan favorite. Led the majors in triples his first year up but no super star like Jeter or such. Some baws I know went out to party with him and that is exactly what it is like. Its insanity these cleat chasers. There is a lot of credibility to this theory also and that he just tried to hide and wait out the fallout from him banging strippers and falling in love on the road.

Maybe, since it seems he’s chosen the path of ignoring social media and engaging with crazy women And focusing on his Lucrative baseball career instead, he pitches just fine, since he obviously checked out on that distraction a year ago.

Now if he finally let her latest attack get to him and gets drawn back in, his pitching will suffer.

I’d go with the former and say he has a decent outing.

Sounds like he dumped her over text then blocked her. Not really getting “ghosted” though pretty immature to divorce your wife over text message.

Plus there is probably a mountain of her own baggage she is leaving out of this Dear Facebook BS

Sounds like she did something, he found out and it was so bad he decided to never talk to her again.

Either that or she did something that seriously pissed him off. No way to know for sure

Exactly

Most men, and this dude may be the exception, don't just text and end a marriage relationship like THAT unless they are pissed.

Usually, if the man is at fault, he'll grovel at some point or continue trying to resolve the issues so he isn't boned in the divorce. For a guy to slam the door on a woman who "did nothing wrong" doesn't add up

MLB players have had spring training wives, road wives, women stashed everywhere forever. Don’t know how they do it these days because no one can keep their mouths shut anymore. Too much trouble for that nonsense.

Buddy was a trainer for the DBacks for years and I asked him who the biggest dog on the team was and he said Steve Finley and no one came close when it came to getting caught but Matt Mantei pulled a ton. He stated that almost all of the married men on the team cheated regularly.

A cousin pitched for the Pirates in the early 90's (before cellphones) and he said back then there were legendary stories of Gregg Jefferies and his indiscretions. Apparently his exploits were known throughout the league.
