This year, my second year, I’m on track for 500k in revenue and my March bonus is 63,500

So you haven't made 500k and you probably won't this year either with that revenue.

You make a lot of money congrats, but you lied and I called you out. Don't lie, don't get called out. Pretty simple.

My peer group is super successful and I’m one of the top agents in the company

So of they are as successful as you they won't make 500k yet its easy?

Why would I make that up?

Good question

Captive agency or independent? Commercial or personal lines P&C?

ETA: Never mind. I see it's SF. I've met with 3-4 SF agents, but didn't want to commit to them while trying to stay in the commercial game.

1 or 2 of those agents were pretty good fits, but could pose some logistical problems with my custody arrangement.

Accountants (Big 4 in particular) - who knew Partners could easily eclipse $1million annually. Directors coasting at $300k-$400k into a retirement with a solid pension.

You know how much crap you have to take and how much a grind to get to that point? The people I met who are in this field on this track were cookie cutter corporate types with little ingenuity. Yeah they make bank but have the personality of a worn out catchers mit.

Albeit dated

quote:

According to the 2010-2011 Growth and Performance Standards (GPS) study, pre-tax agency profit varies from 4.25 percent to 10.00 percent, depending on agency size. The smallest agencies in the revenue range of $500,000 and less had the lowest profit of 4.25 percent, while agencies in the largest revenue range of $3,000,001 and over had the highest profit of 10.00 percent.

quote:

Compensation per owner varies from $52,600 in the smallest agencies to $260,500 in the largest agencies.

But do you really even need an insurance salesman. Why not go the model of Tesla and cut the bullshite out completely?

So you're in year two of your career and you're one of the top agents in the company?

You must be very talented. Good luck in your endeavors.

I'm not sure his statements add up. He says every single agent he knows brings in 500k+. He also says he brought in 380k last year and is one of the top agents in the company.

Yes, we are a Chairman's Circle office.... It's Sales not rocket science. Unfortunately a lot of agents become complacent and are okay with their renewal comp.

Revenue doesn't equal top agencies. Production does. That's what the company cares about. Growth is everything.

District judges in Louisiana who work for 20 years get their salary guaranteed every year for the rest of their life, and it’s like $165k, and people wonder why Louisiana is broke as fricking shite.

Is the insurance industry different than every other industry where agents measure their pay by how much revenue they generate?

You've lied and or changed your story at least a half dozen times in this thread.

At least you admitted you lied though.
