Straight up Old Testament right there.

She knew the cost of vengeance, and settled a blood feud.

There are only 1-2 murders profiled in each show. There are probably dozens more, maybe more, that aren't solved, and no leads. But I am sure the neighborhood knows

I live in a very white, very safe smallish city. I have it on good authority from a former coworker-turned-police officer, that if the local PD can't identify a perp within 48 hours, it gets ruled a suicide 90+% of the time. There is no desire to dedicate manpower or resources to homicides that aren't clear cut at all.

IMO it's just as much a police/legal system/government beaurocracy problem as it is a "community problem". This shite doesn't just happen in the inner city of 8-10 metro areas.

You better believe the cops and prosecution will now do everything they can to remove suspicion from the guy who was killed as to his role in the brother's murder. I'd have a hard time convicting this girl of anything unless she was wrong about who killed her brother.

I think it will be too easy for the defense to prove he did actually kill her brother. A simple ballistics test will show that. I think their main focus will be the fact that she should have told the police who killed him. I'm quite sure they asked the family if they knew of any suspects. Also, her smug texts aren't going to help her case.

quote:

Coppage told authorities that she knew Lars would be near Independence Avenue and Benton, with her meeting him there before following the victim.

She did admit to calling Lars prior to the shooting, but claimed that it was in hopes that he and her father would settle their differences before killing each other.

This won't help either. It could be argued that she lured him to a location so she could kill him. And since she said she was trying to keep him and her father from killing each other, it shows an ongoing feud.

I'm with you on this. I admit she has had a rough go of it with multiple family members murdered. And I get the revenge factor, it's normal to want revenge. But this girl ain't not saint. And I believe she will absolutely do time. I'd like to see if she has a rap sheet.

Hardest thing for the prosecution is bullets were flying in both directions. She can just say he fired the first shot. Forensics can't put a timestamp on the bullets.

Two people know who the aggressor was and only one can talk.

Let’s just hope she got the right guy. I’m sure Tityana’s investigation was rock solid. Who wouldn’t want this person running around with a gun shooting suspected criminals...
