Thankfully they found him safe and sound. I’m sure there were mothers with their kids on bicycles being stopped left and right asking for identification.

So what was the story? He just ran away but was found at a Sam's in Covington?

Before anyone says it's not our business to know the details, yes it is. This is the OT

He was found in Covington and he is ok is the most important thing. The sad thing is that the situation this kid is in because of the court system is going to guarantee this happens again if Landon is forced to be with one parent instead of what would make him a happy kid. My concern is something really bad will happen next time because mark my words, that Dad of his is going to make his life even more living hell than it was before he ran away.

So whatever a makes a 14 year old happy is a good standard?

Why are you blaming the Dad who has custody mind you?

Maybe that's the problem.

Can an Ebike go that far?
Yes. Depending on the model and battery, some of them have 20+ mile ranges on e-power alone and will go even further the e-motor is only set to pedal assist mode. And even if the battery runs out, you can still pedal like a normal bike.

Also with the Trace, getting to that part of Mandeville would be pretty pretty simple.

So having custody of a kid is a good standard that you’re decent parent?

Casey Anthony had custody of her kid.

I forgot to ask that but Landon has been in jail since he was found. Austin won’t bail him out. When he is released Austin said he can’t come home-he’s not wanted there. He plans to send him to a family member in MS until he places him in boarding school for troubled teens until he’s 18.

Eta: He had been staying with a friend and was found with that friend at Sam's Club store.

My guess is his dad is trying to teach him a lesson, or maybe he's just being an a-hole. He is certainly got the track record for it.

14 is still way young to get things straight. Hopefully someone can help me work through whatever is causing him issues. That's a really tough age, mentally and maturity wise. It's easy to let emotions get away from you and do something messed up.
