Mysterious disappearance of a woman and her dad suspiciously committing suicide while searching for her? And they have the surname Kobayashi? Sounds like someone did something to piss off Keyser Söze and now he's having it covered up.

As soon as Keith Morrison does a Dateline regarding his son-in-law Matthew Perry, he can jump on this one.

Hannah Kobayashi now the target of FBI investigation into green card scam as family fights over GoFundMe riches
Once-missing Hawaii woman Hannah Kobayashi is now the target of an FBI investigation into a green card scam as her family continue to fight over the GoFundMe riches.
Kobayashi was initially reported missing on November 11 after she failed to board her connecting flight from Los Angeles to New York.
After weeks of searching, the Los Angeles Police Department revealed on Monday that the 30-year-old had 'knowingly' crossed the border into Mexico on November 12.
On Wednesday, sources told Los Angeles Magazine that Kobayashi may have been scammed out of the proceeds of a green card visa scheme by her own ex-boyfriend before her disappearance.
The unnamed ex had accompanied Kobayashi on the flight to Los Angeles along with two others: an Argentine man named Alan Cacace and his girlfriend - known only as Marianne.
While her ex-boyfriend traveled on to New York, Kobayashi stayed in Los Angeles.
Documents uncovered by Kobayashi's mother, Brandi Yee, revealed that Kobayashi had been working with an immigration attorney.

So she fled to Mexico to keep from getting arrested in a scam she was part of? That poor dad.

How could I have missed that?
And to pull that off while having cameras see her several times alive and well in the airport........Brilliant!
I mean, obviously clue #1 was to recruit a random stranger who would give her clue #2.

how sad if her dad killed himself because of the potential shame his familiy was about to undergo.

Some reports were that he did it after getting overwhelmed searching skid row awhile for her.
The family seems to be questioning when cops had the evidence that she crossed into Mexico and some other details that made it obvious she was heading that way and had left LA. Not sure if they think the cops might have known this before the dad’s suicide or just mad they are finding out stuff with news reports instead of from the cops.

Dog the Bounty Hunter said she married a guy - I think he said he’s Mexican but I’m not 100% on that - and that the police know but it hasn’t been released yet,

According to TMZ, she's finally made contact with her family

Wonder how that phone call went? "Glad you're alive honey, but Dad killed himself looking for you"

Kobayashi's family has released a statement ... saying they are relieved and grateful Los Angeles Police found Hannah safe earlier this month.
They're now asking for privacy as they take the time to heal and process all they went through. They're also thanking everyone for supporting them.

She was probably keeping up with the news and was fully aware of her dad committing suicide, and still didn’t come forward at the time.

This would make sense looking at the whole case now.

I don't know how she lives with herself after all of this. It's a horrible situation.

Someone should've told her about OnlyFans before embarking on the ol' green card scam.

Were the dad and daughter in on the scheme together? Maybe the dad got her into the scheme in the first place and thought that one of the sketchy criminals they were working with had killed her, and he took his life. Maybe she was hiding out from one of the other criminals the entire time?

She should be in jail and have to pay back all the expenses on local agencies trying to find her.
