Apparently the condition of the body was suspicious to them.
Grain of salt, obviously. I agree that it wouldn’t be strange for him to be pretty beat up given the natural circumstances of dying out there.

OK. By all accounts, the deceased did not ride back on the boat with the teens who were blasted all over the place due to a prior photo or photos of them with the deceased.
So no matter what condition his body was in or where it was found, that puts these white teens in no different position in the case.

By “suspicions” I mean curiosities about how he died and what led up to it.
I don’t think any of the immediate knee jerk blaming of his friends was fair or rational in any way.

Agreed. It's like they had nothing else tying him to the friends besides: 'Here's this existing photo of him with three or four guys.'

I listened to the audio of the video of the alleged confrontation. I believe Crump is lying through his teeth.
For one, the audio doesn't sound anything like "give me my fricking phone"
They're saying that supposedly Nolan was on the beach where he was surrounded by a bunch of others. That may be the case? However, whoever was recording had to be much closer to the person yelling. The audio was too loud and nearby.
Lastly, I'm pretty sure I'll get called racist for this. But oh well. That didn't sound like a black guy. That audio sounded much more like a white guy yelling.

I agree with you.
Just relaying what I’ve heard.
I don’t blame anyone for asking why or how their kid is dead, and I’m willing to give a lot of grace for anyone who is grieving.
Any and all knee-jerk accusations are irresponsible and dangerous and should be condemned by anyone with good common sense.

This might have been posted already, but I came across this earlier.
Read the comments. That kid said it wasn't a whole race thing and what happens? TMZ was trying to sort of discredit him and the comments were doing the same thing. People saying he needs to shut up because he wasn't doing "his brother" any favors, etc.
Racism is profitable. The media, especially TMZ profits because race related stories drives traffic. I would bet what happened here is that TMZ located this dude on Facebook or whatever social media, because he followed and was followed by Wells and the other kids and he was the one who agreed to talk. They probably didn't do much vetting because they saw the kid was black so they assumed he would say something they could use to lean into. He didn't so they they try to discredit.
