Is there any evidence that the white kids committed a crime?

I don’t think the 2nd part is true.

I do, largely, think the first part is true.

Although that would be a likely outcome of putting together any group of people encouraged to blame something on their issues. Change the subject completely. If you’re a group and have been ENCOURAGED to be a victim and have seen how much it benefits you to be that victim, it’s not very realistic to have that group be like, “hey guys, everything is a lie and we need to stop getting ahead by blaming (insert whatever it is).”

Why did Well’s parents bring in an attorney to stir shite up before investigation has barely started much less finished??

I don’t know the financial situation of any of the kids’ parents, but Crump files lawsuits to coerce settlements. I expected the family to hire an attorney for that as soon as Crump got his race card playing arse involved. Crump has jumped much bigger into this than he did for his shoplifting and using child as a shield client in north Mississippi, so I suspect he sees more potential money and exposure for himself than with that piece shite client in north Mississippi.

Also, case has moved beyond anyone in the family or ilk wanting the truth, and a lawyer can help make sure the kids don’t misinterpret questions, don’t say something off the cuff that can be taken in multiple ways, and stop something that is completely irrelevant to this situation from coming out in questioning that will be used against them later. Attorneys can help make sure the investigation doesn’t target the kids based on bull shite internet opinions and pressures from race baiting assholes.

A group of idiots are stirring up an online lynching of these kids which the parents and Crump have inflamed. If Well’s parents wanted complete and wholehearted cooperation from the other kids they shouldn’t have brought in Crump or Sharpton and definitely not both. The local NAACP chapter has been more rational than the parents, Crump, and their racist supporters. That you even had to ask why the kids or their families hired an attorney shows their ignorance is rubbing off on you.

The answer is no. Lifelong friends, many trips out to Horn together, hundreds of witnesses, consistent testimony from those involved. The parents want answers for obvious reasons, but people like Crump and Al Sharpton aren’t here for that. They’ve sunk their claws in this family. It’s a sad situation.

The mother basically said in the press conference that Nolan had a big heart and was too trusting around white people, didn’t “know the history,” which scared her and her husband. I thought that was a pretty telling statement. The fact that they ended up with Crump and Sharpton should not be surprising at all.

There’s a post up on Facebook publicizing a “protest” in Ocean Springs this Saturday. It’s not clear who is organizing it. Location is Government and State St. Time: 5 pm. Comments are asking why a protest rather than a vigil or tribute. Nolan’s mother repeated several times in a televised interview that she did not want any violence, which makes me think that might be the point. Perhaps someone wants to create footage for the Sunday talk shows, and Monday’s news shows. One of the commenters wonders if protesters will be bused in.

Then there's a good possibility you are hiding something. Ie You may not be guilty of the actual crime, but you may have known something/saw something along the way. But then again, I could very well be wrong in that assumption. I've never been in a case where I've had to talk to police, etc.
