I stand corrected
Looks like she was an off duty cop working security at HD in Detroit

How did she not get hurt through all that?

It wasn’t just her life in danger there. Any one of those guys could have easily taken her gun at any point in that altercation and started blasting away with zero regard for hitting innocent bystanders in the store.

When will our country have enough of this bullshite and finally realize something has to be done to stop this sort of behavior? I mean, this appears to be a typical Home Depot on some random Saturday. Any one of us could have been in that store.

Then I love how at the very end a guy is like “come on let’s help him” after the old guy had already gotten the shite beaten out of him.

Just an awful culture.

If she just opened up and shot everyone in the mob I would approve.

Hone Depot is full of potential weapons. Wrenches and hammers etc. Brawl could get deadly there

I'll give her an A for effort. She should've backed off until backup came.

No reason for that to last that long. She Shoujda pulled out the mace and wet the whole group down. That’s all you can do in that situation.

She pulled out a taser after it was to late. Shoulda hit him with it when he had the pipes in his hand at the very beginning.

This is something I’ve thought about for a while now. His post is accurate. More and more people have reached the point of being fed up with having to tolerate this sort of behavior. But few have taken the next step and asked themselves what must happen to make it stop. I think that is because deep down everyone knows the answer to that question is something they’re afraid to admit.

It was a no-win position for the cop.
She is tactically deficient. No situational awareness as her pistol was exposed (not protected) as evident by the male standing behind her with his hand on her back above the pistol.
She was not taking anyone into custody.
Outnumbered.
One prep with crutches against 3 others.
Taze the crutch dude - and the other 3 beat his arse more and she can’t stop it.
Taze one of the 3, she can’t take him into custody if the other 2 turn on her. If successful, what does she do next.
Do nothing? Crucified by public opinion as seen in comments above.
Simply be passive aggressive in an attempt to appear you are actively trying to calm & stop the fight.
Another issue is the mob mentality as others got involved.
At the end of the day, protect yourself, Hope backup arrives soon and live to fight another day.
Maybe crutch dude was the a-hole aggressor and deserved the best down?

Like a pack of hyenas or pit bulls. There is no ‘off’ button. Left to their own devices they would have killed that guy and then it would have taken a half hour for them to calm down while doing ritual shite talk chants at the dead body. I don’t know how you handle this. It’s animal like behavior. There is no reasoning with them.

Frankly, I don’t know. Take the men in this video for example, how do you change their behavior? Or the “youths” we see in a flood of “teen takeover” videos that come out on an almost daily basis? How do you change their behavior? We have almost daily examples of animalistic and violent criminal behavior that we all agree we’re “fatigued” by. So what can be done to address it?

What I do know is there is a cultural problem in the black community where a sizable percentage have little to no regard for the law and a complete lack of understanding how to be a proper member of a civilized society. How can that be changed? Is it possible? I honestly don’t know. And if it’s not possible, then what?

Like I said, these are very uncomfortable truths that we eventually have to confront. And none of the questions that arise from these uncomfortable truths have easy answers.

Just one of those times where you wish you happened to be in the store with a couple of your boys picking up lumber for a deck project. Would have evened out that 3 on 1 and sent those skinny scholars to sleepy land.

She had a taser, and wouldn't use it on the main aggressor
