Did this happen?

Hell yeah. This guy was a 250 pound Swede before he started boarding the ship.

We tested it in Va Beach and got preliminary CG approval
Shipping companies didn’t want the liability and risk to their crews

You might not but the CIA would be very, very upset and the American people would too once the secrets came out.

The Seals and/or special forces would take care of this problem pretty quickly if you turn them loose and let them go do what they are trained to do.

What?
The US drug enforcement and policy serves to protect their monopolies on the drug trade.

Wait are these Mexican ships or US ships? If they’re Mexican flagged vessels, frick em. Let the Mexican Navy (
) figure it out.
If they’re US flagged vessels than I’m good with our military intervening.

A buddy of mine (who had lost his house) tells me that we are REALLY fricked.
I said something like “We’ll get through this.” trying to be positive.
He answered “NO, we are frickED. The Mexican Navy sent US a Hospital Ship. When the Mexican Navy sends you help, you’re frickED.”

Invading Mexico would be a horrible move. But we need to run some covert ops to bring the cartels down
We spent the whole 80s and 90s in Latin America using covert ops to try and bring people down
Yeah, turns out that destabilizing other countries isn't a good idea. We kind of sparked the violence in those countries that most people are fleeing from in those countries and we created the situation that we now want to build a wall to stop.
There's a reason we learn about history, folks.

It’s all business until they catch the corona from one of the crews.

Smart move by fricking with the O&G industry. Probably one of the few industries where they won’t blink to hire some ex-Russian special forces and shoot you up.

This is really bizarre when you consider their motive. Personal belongings? The Somalis held ships for huge ransoms. Either these guys are the textbook definition of small thinkers or there's more to this story than they are telling.

They’re probably just bored like everyone else.

These cartels are a clear and present danger to our citizens.
I've been saying it and I'll keep saying it. Trump needs to send the Marines to wipe these frickers off the planet, establish a 50 mile buffer zone on Mexico's side of the border.
Enough of this shite.

Day 5- Surrender

I feel like the SEALS/Spec Ops have a lot more important shite going on in the world than for them to be stuck on shipping vessels for who knows how long with absolutely nothing happening.

Wonder if they’ll ever get brave enough to attack a deep water installation in the U.S. EEZ

To a degree... The cartels are primarily a danger to US citizens due to the drugs they help import. However, the cartel leaders have recognized that messing with the US is not wise for their business and rarely condone direct acts of violence against US citizens - especially in the U.S.
See El Paso, TX as an example. Their murder rates have decreased significantly since the 1980's and 1990's. Current murder rate in El Paso (directly across border from Juarez which is heavily cartel controlled and very violent) for 2019 is around 2.5 per 100k. Compare that to New Orleans murder rate for 2019 of 30.7 per 100k.
All that to say: the Cartels clearly are dangerous criminals. But, they have become smart enough at the top levels to avoid fricking with the United States or our citizens. They know that if they get our attention, we could wipe them out. I would be surprised if they try this same thing with any US flagged ships in the Gulf. If they do, I would be all for unleashing hell on them - would be fun to watch.
