Mexico tells Somalia to holds its Modelo as hijacking ships is now becoming an epidemic in the Gulf of Mexico.
Daily Mail
The hijackers gestured with their hands and obligated the sailors to kneel and crouch.
Two ship crew members were repeatedly beaten and suffered head wounds, and equipment and personal belongings were stolen. The assault, however, was not visible on the video that disseminated on social media.
It was the second time in six months that the REMAS was attacked by pirates.
The attack, which took place 76 miles from the port of Dos Bocas, was among five that were reported in a span of a week.
On Thursday morning, at least five armed pirates boarded the Mexican-based Campeche Maritime Service's Buccaneer vessel and subdued the crew of 75 before escaping with their personal belongings and equipment.

This is how you get more ships ordered for the US Navy and Coast Guard like a few more carriers, destroyers, frigates and submarines.

Times are rough, what do you expect them to do

Sounds like a good time to call the Cajun Navy.

Ships should hire mercs and get some US Navy escorts. That is unacceptable in the Gulf.

I wouldn’t be upset if we invaded Mexico and rid them of those pieces of shite.

Invading Mexico would be a horrible move. But we need to run some covert ops to bring the cartels down. Use stuff like drone strikes to target them.

I worked on a chemical development project one time where we used heavy foaming agents with HCL. The ships crew members would rig the firehose deluge system up to the chemical tank and spray the foamed acid over the side onto the pirates and their ship as the tried to board. It was extremely effective, the foam would stick to you and the acid would burn the shite out of you. Never got implemented because of risk policy of the shipping company

Couple of mercs with 50s could solve this problem

Those cartels are gonna frick around and wake up one day shot in the head by SEALs firing off a fantail. 75 miles out, you eliminate them and feed the barracuda.

Time to go back to the Monroe doctrine. We gonna speak softly but carry that big stick.

Ships with a few .50s and a few vets looking to make some side $ should do it
