Naked man accused of crashing SUV in Destrehan parking lot

A man seen on video running naked through a Winn-Dixie parking lot in Destrehan before getting into an SUV and crashing it into a truck will face charges as soon as he is released from the hospital where he’s undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office says this happened Wednesday, September 25, just before 7. Cell phone video shows the fully nude man running up to an empty and unlocked SUV. In the background, people can be heard trying to call law enforcement. It’s not clear how long the man had been in the area.
The video shows the man banging on the driver-side window, before opening the door and climbing inside. Shortly after, the SUV takes off in the parking lot driving in a circle.

Looked like the cameraman was at Burger King. I used to collect buggies for $6 an hour in that parking lot. Never saw anything quite like that.

I passed there right after it happened. Not sure what happened to the guy but before the cops showed up he was laid out face down in the grass on the side of the road. Cops showed up and someone passed by and gave them a towel to cover him.
