She had the surgery in October and took four weeks off then returned to work for one day in November but it was too much of a struggle for her and she was back at home the next day.

tons more, almost zero recovery time for that type of surgery, or a least I've never heard of it

I could go completely blind and my dick stop working, and I would not kill myself because of my girls. There is absolutely more issues with this lady.

I've never understood the appeal of LASIK if you're able to get by fine with glasses or contacts
I wear contacts, but I take them out at night and wear glasses. What makes me consider LASIK is the chance of something happening during the night and I'm not able to get my glasses on. I'm fricked and am no good to my family at night without something to correct my vision. Odds of a tornado or a night time burglary or not high, but it's still something that is always in the back of my mind during tornado weather when I'm going to sleep. I'm no end time prepper, but it's also crossed my mind how fricked I would be once my contacts run out or my glasses break if society ever breaks down

LASIK is not worth the risk. Not with all these quacks doing them now

people should know their doctor really well before having any type of surgery.

I would tend to agree with you but if she felt like her eye balls were being gouged out with forks 24x7, dude, extreme, consistent, agonizing pain like that can drive someone batty in a hurry.

Contacts terrify me. I wear glasses. I don't always feel cute in them, but I just can't commit to contacts nor would I undergo the LASIK procedure.
Contacts suck for me, I gave up on them. Getting screened for lasik next week.

I had LASIK in 2002. Never had a single issue.
Do what the Dr says and don’t find the cheapest.
My prescription for contacts were -.675 and -.650
If I remember correctly.
I’m now 20/25 or 20/30 but I’ve developed an astigmatism. I have glasses for that and am almost 20/10 with glasses.
Wife had it as well and she’s perfect.

Yeah, I kept rereading the story to see if I missed something about the LASIK actually being the cause of death.
This selfish bitch killed herself 13 days before Christmas leaving a partner and two young children. Not only did she rob her family of a mother, but stole the subsequent "Christmas excitement" for her kids.
It wasn't LASIK. this one had problems that stemmed way beyond some surgical mishap.
Ill get flamed for this, but have you ever watched someone with depression, or seen it first hand before someone took their own life? To put it into perspective, you and I cant even imagine a circumstance in everyday life that would warrant us to think that death is the best option, but these people honestly believe it is their only option. Regardless of the reasoning, mental illness deserves more respect and acknowledgement. The person is sick. You would never say "that selfish bitch died from cancer 13 days before Christmas".

I doubt that's why she killed herself. Sadly, she likely suffered from mental illness.
