Congratulations! Our 7U team won the DYB State Tournament last weekend and we head to Texarkana for the WS Thursday.

Same! Congrats! My sons team won the 17u Dixie Pre-Majors State tournament 2 weekends ago in Winnsboro. Leave for WS Friday in Sterlington.

My son's 13u JPRD East team starts Dixie Junior World Series in West Monroe this weekend. Play South Carolina in game 1.

Happy this topic was started. We played in an all star tournament this weekend for babe Ruth. We had a league, picked the best players, started practicing after the season, and played. Figured it would be similar league based competition. We roll in and almost all the teams were legit travel ball teams that were clearly together for a while/not their first rodeo. Multiple uniforms, all the same rolling embroidered bat bags, names on jerseys, numbers and logos on helmets, they had a bat that sounded like a trampoline, the works…. We had league issued uniforms, academy special multicolored batting helmets, and apparently pedestrian bats. All that being said, we competed and the boys had a blast.
I’m not against travel and if that’s what you want to do, fantastic. It was just disappointing these teams were allowed to play.

Make sure Arkansas has the same rules for Coach Pitch that Louisiana does. In those DYB regional world series, the state rules of the hosting state apply, at least they did for T-ball. Totally messed me up when we got to Texas one year and they had hash marks drawn between bases and the ball was dead when in the circle.
