Lakeshore traditional 12s are going to the dyb WS even though they decided not to play mangham (sp?) in Ruston this weekend since they taking two from LA this year.

It’s Dixie Youth 9 and 10 year olds and the state championship series is in Ruston, not Shreveport…
Two playgrounds five minutes from each other in Metry playing the championship game in Ruston…
Some of the kids on Lakeshore’s and Pontiff’s teams go to the same grammar school.

Congrats and good luck. I coached my son at Delta Playground and his last year I got to coach the All Stars team. We were too small of a playground to compete with the Pontiff’s, Lakeshores, and Girards, but we had a blast anyways.

How many kids do they have at those big playgrounds? I was always curious how many kids they choose from to make their allstar teams.

Don’t see a lot of leagues going traditional anymore. It’s a good way for a decent sized program to make a run.
