Bad food, bad traffic, protests everytime I've been there, homeless everywhere.

I haven't been since about 2009 but don't really remember much of this. Maybe it's changed in the past decade

Memphis has the most in-bred looking people I've ever seen in my life.

How did you "mistakenly" go to Libertyland for only a few minutes? Also... the Zippin Pippin was legit.

Riverdale McVay area.

I’m originally from Whitehaven. My kids cry when I get nostalgic and drive around.

I lived there for six years and it really grew on me over that time. I sometimes miss it; slow pace of life compared to larger US cities and amazing COL. I lived in Mud Island and woke up to the MS River in my front yard for a couple years. Pretty unique experience in retrospect.

I'd love for Memphis to be BR. Instead it's a shite hole with Beale St, that is nothing like New Orleans.

I used to live in Memphis. I loved my time there, and I know a lot of great people from the area. That city has some serious problems though.

Unfortunately Memphis seems to represent everything I love and everything I hate about the Deep South.

next to the airport

This is your problem. Venture out a bit more baw. Beale street sucks arse. The airport area is culture af. Check out Overton square, Shelby farms, etc. We live in midtown and love it.

This is like saying you went down the street from the BR airport and experienced BR.

Chicago is far from the biggest shite hole in the US. I think it’s pretty badass actually

I live in Chicago now and love it. My opinion changes in the January-March time frame though.

Me either. Always enjoyed going there for work. Very nice

Atlanta is a shithole if you ask me
