and from that I assumed you should give it all away to more needy people. That is what Jesus did.

The Lord hath been kind and merciful!

Keep fleecing the flock, brother!

So we hate this guy because the church leases him a car that is probably under 300/month, and requires a charging station that was mostly paid for by a grant?

preacher to pull up (he was late) and I kid you not he pulled up in a brand spanking new Jaguar. I was floored. When I asked my gf's mother about it she shook her head and said, "Well, they just love their pastor."

Are you sure that he didn't have another job? Many small church pastors have another full time job.

South will always hold a place in my heart. Had some good times down there. I was so sad when they tore down our frat house.

I'm usually the first to chastise this sort of crap, but this seems very meh-worthy.

This is one of the least troubling "OMG Megachurch Pastor Did Something!" stories I've seen.

Hippie evangelical church spends a grand on a charging station, and the pastor leases a fairly inexpensive electric car?

Oh heavens

What if the appearances of a pastor being successful draws more people into the church and congregation and ends up saving more lives than had he bought his clothes from TJ Maxx, live in a motel, and never shaves cause razors are too expensive.

It isn't that extravagant, really.

It is just seems wasteful to install charging station.

Look man, if you like your preacher balling in the pulpit that is your choice. I'm just pointing out that Jesus teaches us to live in modesty. The church is a non profit organization that should serve its community.
